In this arrangement for two oboes & bassoon the sounding key is C and a tempo of 132 quarter note (crotchet) beats to the minute is recommended. The parts for the individual instruments are appended to the full score. This movement demonstrates the essential elements of Mozart's compositional style in a work accessible to a wide range of instruments and instrument combinations. The realisations at times just lack the rhythmic lightness that is required in a Mozart performance. His music demands playing that is accurate, consistent and sensitive stylistically. The Divertimenti (and the related Viennese Sonatinas) are relatively easy works well worth exploring.
