In this arrangement of the ragtime waltz for banjo, acoustic guitar and double bass, the banjo is tuned G, D, G, B, D which is known as open tuning and is the most generally used 5-string banjo tuning. The acoustic guitar chords are notated with both chord symbols/diagrams and the notes to be sounded in staff notation. N.C. in the score refers to the fact that there is simply no chord to be played. A tempo of 110 quarter note (crotchet) beats to the minute is suggested and is the one used in the realisation.
